Rain pivots across southern Scandinavia

Monday
Fair for most of Spain and Portugal although some cloud in northern
Spain with patchy rain here in the afternoon. Showers in the Balearics.
Corsica and Sardinia should be fine with sunshine. Italy will be hot
and dry in the south but an occasional shower developing in central and
northern areas. Greece and Turkey remain dry with lots of sunshine.
Heavy rain and showers affecting much of France, windy too. Rain in
northern Germany with heavy showers in northern Poland. Austria and
Hungary should be mostly fair although heavy, thundery showers in
Switzerland.
Some heavy showers in Denmark and through the Baltic States, these
being thundery at times. Southern Sweden will have some thundery rain,
but the north should be dry and bright. Fair in Norway although some
showers on the coasts.

Tuesday
Fine and warm for Spain and Portugal, risk of isolated showers toward
the east. The Balearics could also see a shower, but largely dry and
likewise dry for Corsica and Sardinia. Scattered showers develop over
Italy, most extensively in the northeast where a risk of thunder in
afternoon. Greece and Turkiye will be dry.

Tuesday
Fine and warm for Spain and Portugal, risk of isolated showers toward
the east. The Balearics could also see a shower, but largely dry and
likewise dry for Corsica and Sardinia. Scattered showers develop over
Italy, most extensively in the northeast where a risk of thunder in
afternoon. Heavy, thundery showers will similarly develop over
Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Greece and Türkiye will
be dry and hot.
France is generally dry, but eastern areas will see some showery rain.
Showers forming more widely across the Alps through Switzerland,
Austria and southern Germany, risk heavy in the morning. Showery too
for the Netherlands, a few showers for Belgium too. A fresh northerly
breeze will keep these areas a bit cooler. Low pressure over eastern
Europe brings more extensive heavy rain to Czechia, Slovakia, and
southern Poland, with risk of thunderstorms. Notable thunderstorm risk
in east Hungary and west Romania/Ukraine. Drier toward the Black Sea.
Some showers for Denmark and southern Sweden, but most of Sweden and
Norway will be dry with increasing sunny spells. Some heavy rain for
southern Finland in the morning will pass east, drier in the north.
Some showers in the Baltic States, a few sun spells here and there.

Wednesday
More hot sun for Iberia, afternoon showers in northwest Spain - a few
stretching east into the Balearics. Substantially dry and sunny
Sardinia, Corsica, and Italy, only some morning showers on Italy's east
coast. Morning showers inland in the Balkans may include a flash of
thunder, gradually easing for a sunny afternoon. Hot and sunny again
for Greece and Türkiye.
A fine sunny day for France and the Low Countries. Switzerland will be
sunny as well, some showery rain in Austria. Rain in central and east
Germany as well. From Poland southward to Hungary and eastward, most
areas will see rain with regular heavy bursts and risk of
thunderstorms.
Heavy rain for Lithuania and Latvia, drier in Estonia. Fine across
Scandinavia and often sunny. More cloud in Finland at first, though

A dry day for Portugal with some cloud around, sunnier for Spain.
Afternoon heavy showers for northern Spain, thunderstorms in the
northwest. Some showers are possible later in the day over the
Balearics, perhaps the odd heavy one. Afternoon showers mostly over
high ground for Sardinia and Corsica. Northern Italy near the mountains
will see a showery day while southern parts will have fine weather
conditions. Similarly fine for the Balkan states, some showery bursts
from Slovenia towards Bosnia and Herzegovina. A sunny day for Greece,
Türkiye and Cyprus.
A sunny and hot day for France with a few heavy showers south. Sunny
hot as well for the British Isles and the Low Countries. Showers in

A slack low pressure pattern exists over central and western Europe.
Thundery showers increasingly form over northeast Spain, west and
southern France, widespread downpours by the afternoon, though the
Mediterranean coast of France may just escape dry. Showers near the
north coast of Spain, but central and southern Spain and Portugal stays
dry and hot. Corsica and Sardinia, Sicily and much of Italy will be dry
with hot sunshine. Some thundery showers for northern Italy toward the
Alps. Widely showery through Switzerland and western Austria by
afternoon.
Hot and sunny for Greece, Türkiye, the Balkan states, Romania and
Bulgaria, one or two isolated showers. Southern Germany through Czechia
and Slovakia largely dry, but further north becomes increasingly

High pressure provides find warm conditions for most; inland areas of
the central Mediterranean and south/west Scandinavia increasingly

Wednesday
Wednesday is hot and mostly sunny across Iberia; outbreaks of showers
across north and eastern Spain as well as the north mountains, locally
heavy. Hot sunshine and inland afternoon showers in Sardinia and
Corsica as well as Italy, some heavier bursts likely over mountainous
regions. The Baltic States and most of southeast Europe is dry and
sunny, only a few odd showers over high hills of the Balkan States.
Greece and Türkiye will be similarly fine and warm.
Cloud tending to build in France with showery rain, some heavier bursts
here and there. Some risk of showers and cloud drifting into the Low
Countries later in the day. Locally showery on southern parts of the
Alps as well. High pressure facilitates a hot and sunny day across much
of the continent north and east of the Alps. Some cloud around Poland,
Ukraine, and Belarus, but still largely fine and dry here as well.
Very warm and sunny in Denmark and southern Sweden, this sun extending
