Title: Creamy Garlic Angel Hair Pasta

1/2 c Butter or Margarine;
-Softened
8 oz Cream Cheese; Softened
1/4 c Fresh parsley; Chopped
1 ts Dried Basil
1/4 ts Salt
1/2 ts Pepper
8 oz Angel Hair Pasta; (Or Thin
-Spaghetti)
1 Clove Garlic; Peeled and
-Crushed
1/2 c Butter or Margarine
1/2 c Parmesan Cheese; Freshly
-Grated
2/3 c Water; boiling
1/2 c Parmesan Cheese; Freshly
-Grated
Today's recipe is a simple pasta side dish that makes a perfect
replacement for what would be a ho-hum serving of mashed potatoes.
The flavor creamy garlic flavor complements most chicken and beef
main courses and only takes about 20-minutes to prepare!

In a small mixing bowl beat 1/2 cup soft butter or margarine and cream
cheese together until well blended. Stir in parsley, basil, salt and
pepper. Set aside.
Cook pasta in plenty of boiling water until al dente. Drain and
return to cooking pot. Cook garlic slowly in the second 1/2 cup
butter or margarine for about 2-minutes, while the pasta is cooking.
Add to the cooked pasta and toss together with 2 forks over low heat
until very hot. Remove from heat and add 1/2 cup parmesan cheese,
then toss again. Turn mixture out onto a serving plate and keep hot.
Add boiling water to cream cheese mixture and blend well. Pour over
pasta and sprinkle with the additional 1/2 cup parmesan cheese. Serve
immediately.
