My job situation changed, and I sold my BMW i3 EV. I'm driving 150 miles round-trip 1-2 days a week, and driving a subcompact car on crazy freeways with skinny tires wasn't a great experience.
With the tires being special order (different front and back sizes, one manufacturer makes the tires) meant that the tires are expensive, wear out quickly because you can't rotate them, and if you get a non-pluggable puncture on the road it's a day or two process to get a replacement. No spare tire.
I bought an off-lease Lexus ES300h - drives like a dream, uses readily-available tires, has a spare, and I got 52 MPG on the way to work last time.
Just in time for a gulf war and gas prices to soar... :(
